Most of the courses we teach at the Schar School focus on theory, history, and domain knowledge. They are great for improving your general critical thinking capacity, which is the main point of the exercise from an academic standpoint. Unfortunately, doing that leaves less time than I’d prefer for helping students gain the professional skills they will also need to become the next generation of leaders. These courses represent my efforts over time to help students get those skills. They will help students get more from their courses and they will help young professionals do their jobs with greater confidence and less stress.
